Since JAV isn't playing out for another five whole days, here are some last minute tips for a couple of great shows this weekend.
If you're looking for something hard rocking, there's a band out of Chicago called A.D.D., and they're part of the lineup at Copperfield's downstairs. I chatted with these guys for a while, and not only do they appear to rock out on stage (gleaned from poking around their website), but they also seemed really cool to hang out with, and at least a couple of them are IT guys.
If you're looking for something a little different, a little, dare I say, "swingin'", Seks Bomba is on the roster at the House of Blues.
The other show that's going on tonight that I would've loved to catch (but sadly, won't) is the whole lineup at the Paradise Lounge. Unfortunately for you pleibes (heh heh), the show is invite only (though you may be able to bribe your way in). If you're curious, the Dresden Dolls and Bleu are both playing, along with Dave Aranoff and Paul Brill. The latter two I've been told are pretty good, and the former are both unique in their own way (hence, unique).
Hmm.. this is fun. I could do this rock and roll reporting thing for a living.
